Ted's Gauntlet

i was rolling some ideas down in my head and realised that i had given myself quite the conundrum....

for example: in Phantoms (my WIP webcomic) the Seven deadly sins have mainfested on earth, but they are still immortal in every meaning of the word, you cant kill them so... How was Thedrik supposed to beat them? answer, a capture gauntlet, this would also enable him to use their elemental powers as well, but this nifty do-hickey comes with a drawback, after he catches the sins, they are still alive but they cant directly do anything, so once they are inside the gauntlet they will try to influence Thedrik, and try to make him do things he wouldnt normally do.

thats my little tidbit about why Ted has a fancy new gauntlet

to answer your questions one at a time,
yes, the gauntlet goes over the elbow, the size of the hand is intentional their is a lot of internal material on the gauntlet, hence its bulk, this bulk also makes it impossible to hold/ wield weapons in his left hand with any dexterity so Thedrik is actually a "righty"

in addition to this, the sins cannot actually MAKE him do anything, Thedrik has natural urges, being an angel/demon these urges for greed, wrath, lust, gluttony and so on are usually small, these things dont usually bother him at all.

but with the sins inside of the gauntlet they could potentially magnify these natural urges... for instance if Wrath were to be pulled into the gauntlet and blow his anger out of proportion he could quite possibly hurt alot of people for no reason other than stress relief.

this make things hard for Ted, he must constantly keep himself in check, (hmmm just like normal humans... go figure)

Its kinda like having 7 little Devil consciences constantly
